The Point is a finalist for the South by Southwest Interactive Festival Web Awards in the Activism category! We’re humbled to be considered alongside some really cool projects that are making the world better through technology.

Also, we’re eligible for the SXSW People’s Choice award, but it’s one of those things where you’re supposed to go back and vote every day. How could we, in good conscience, ask you to invest your time in an undertaking of such uncertain worth, when the whole idea of The Point is to only act as part of a group when you know it will matter?

But since when does The Point rely on voting to make things happen? If you’re really set on seeing The Point win the People’s Choice Award, I encourage you to browse the list of our fellow nominees and then start ultimatums that force them to withdraw from the competition. Joking!
