Hi Alex, others,

Robert here from VolunteerMatch. Peter and I and a few others has some great discussions yesterday at NetSquared around ways to integrate social action platforms and our Web service, www.volunteermatch.org.

There's so much to share on this topic, but the most interesting issue so far for me was the difference in how platform developers reach out to volunteers/activists versus nonprofits -- and whether a single technology provider can excel as a service provider for both. Can we at VolunteerMatch incorporate the new breed of social action technology on our Web site?

Social Actions is such as great tool to harness and multiple the energy of passionate individuals, but how can we get nonprofits of all kinds (not just technologically savvy ones) into the mix?

Anyhow, no easy answers for these questions... but it's great to ask them.

Thanks,
Robert
VolunteerMatch Team

Thanks so much for the kind words. It was really my pleasure to speak with you. I look forward to learning about how this busy month works out for you and getting to catch up at some point in Montreal in the next two months.

Hi Alex, Thanks again for conducting and writing up the interview. I enjoyed our conversation. By the way, I really like the direction that the MakeSomethingHappen blog is headed. Keep up the great work. All the best, Peter
