if everyone else votes, my vote doesn't matter.
if nobody else votes, my votes matters most.
if everything else lives my life doesn't matter.
if nothing else lives my life is all that matters.

but everything dies. (trump)

the extremes cancel out the dilemma and since there are so many people it isn't likely anyone will be able to prove that we weren't duped from the beginning, leaving it up to the actor(s) to apply what ever value within what ever dimension they wish.

"Just because economists understand the free rider problem doesn’t give them permission to perpetuate it."

Ha! This is true, and is a great representation of ivory tower-ism. Rational decision making is only reasonable "within reason," not at logical extremes.
